Artifacts from a performance work by Cecil Touchon at the A Book About Death Exhibition at the Emily Harvey Foundation Gallery in New York City.
Note: These were some of the rubber bands used for the world premiere performance of Cecil Touchon's Requiem for Voice and Rubber Bands for George Brecht (who died a few months earlier).
Performers and audience used these rubber bands as plucking instruments during the chant. Cantor was Melissa McCarthy.
